The Crime Statistics Unit works closely with other university departments to ensure compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. Among other requirements, this federal law obliges the annual disclosure of certain crimes that occurred on campus. The Crime Statistics Unit also completes the Daily Crime-Fire Log for UIC’s east and west campus logs information regarding criminal arrests and completes annual reports regarding departmental and area crime activity.
