About

Roxanne Brown is a Security Sergeant at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences Systems. She's worked for the UIC Police Department in the security profession since November 2006. She became a Security Sergeant in 2017.

Roxanne attended school at UIC for Biological Sciences and continues to learn at Governors State University. She has been certified in CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training, Controlled F.O.R.C.E. (M.A.C.H. Lv2) training, and has certification to teach Self Defense from AWSDA, the American Women's Self Defense Association.

Roxanne has always had a love of learning and has since discovered the joy of teaching. She currently aids in presenting security classes to the Hospital and Clinic employees as well as teaching women self-defense in UICPD's Women's Self Defense classes. She looks forward to continuing her efforts to both learn and educate. She lives in the South Suburbs of Chicago with her family.
