Human Resource Associate
Kristin joined the UIC PD in January 2016. In her current role, she oversees the department HR operations that include implementing best HR practices that support UIC PD long-term strategic objectives. She is responsible for providing human resource support in the following areas: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, change management, performance management, salary administration, training and compliance, policy review and updates, records, employee relations, compensation, payroll, and employee benefits. Prior to joining the UIC PD, she worked in UIC Facilities Management and Office for Capital Planning as a Human Resource Generalist. Her passion is to help foster a positive workplace by focusing more on employee development, succession planning and diversity.
A Society for Human Resource Management certified professional (SHRM-CP), Kristin holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University. She is an active member of the SHRM, National Association of African Americans in Human Resources and SHRM Certification Ambassador Program.
