Captain Wooden has been employed with the University of Illinois Chicago Police Department since 2006. He has served in and supervised various sections within the department including Patrol, Field Training Officer Program, Critical Incident Scenario Program, Investigations Unit and Special Events. In 2019, he was promoted to Lieutenant, overseeing the operations of the Investigations Unit, Police Advancing Community Engagement Unit, Crime Statistics and Special Events.
Captain Wooden currently oversees the Internal Affairs Unit, Crime Statistics Unit, Technical Services Unit and the Police Advancing Community Engagement Unit.
