About

Communications Manager Jeffrey Jamrok has been in 9-1-1 telecommunications since 2004.  He joined UICPD in December of 2021 as the Communications Manager.  Jeff obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 2008 from Northern Illinois University.  He has worked at several 9-1-1 centers in his career including Chicago’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications where he served as Police Communications Operator II and Local 21 Union Steward.  Jeff served as a supervisor at the Laraway Communications Center in Will County as well as for the Elgin Police Department.  Currently Jeff is certified through APCO (Association of Public Safety Communications Officials) as a Telecommunicator I, Certified Training Officer (CTO), Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Dispatch Center Supervisor, Disaster Operations in The Communications Center, and the APCO RPL (Registered Public Safety Leader) in 2021.  In addition, he is certified through PowerPhone in Law Enforcement Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD).  Jeff is also a PowerPhone certified call assessor.  Jeff is a certified BLS & CPR instructor through the American Heart Association, and recently completed the EMT-B program through Kishwaukee College.  Outside of public safety communications, Jeff is also a licensed Realtor in Illinois and is currently pursuing his aviation (pilots) license.

Manager Jamrok leads the UICPD Communications Center, which answers emergency and non-emergency calls for service on campus, in addition to dispatching police and security units to calls for service. Jeff has a rigorous work ethic and is always looking to help others grow both professionally and personally.
