Commend Police Services

To register a report of extraordinary accomplishment or act of service by the department or any of its employees. You may submit a report directly to an employee, in person or by phone to the employee's supervisor, or mail in a written acknowledgment.

In Person or By Phone
Stop by the Police Department in person or by telephone at (312) 996-2830, ask to speak to the on duty Watch Commander. He or she will document your comments in written form and place a copy in the employees’ personnel file.

Written Acknowledgments
Written acknowledgements should be addressed to the Chief of Police. The document will be forwarded to the employee and a copy shall be placed in his or her personnel file. The address is as follows:
