The University of Illinois at Chicago Police Department arrested 5 drivers during 2020 Holiday Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign.

Chicago, IL - The University of Illinois at Chicago Police Department partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation and law enforcement throughout the state for the 2020 Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign. From Dec. 18 to Jan. 4, UICPD ramped up its usual traffic enforcement efforts, adding additional Officers to patrol on campus and the surrounding area.

UICPD announced it arrested (5) offenders during the winter holiday enforcement campaign. Additional citations included (2) seat belt citations and (23) other traffic violations.
The Illinois Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) with federal highway safety funds.
